I remember when I was younger I would often write myself off and not even bother to approach women whom I thought were "out of my league". Years later, at reunions and other events, I discovered, to my utter shock, that some actually were quite frustrated that I had never approached them.

Looks seem to have no bearing on many gorgeous women's choices, lucky for many of us guys out there. I used to get depressed, thinking I had to be a male super-model. Definitely not. There's just no way of knowing if you're going to ring her bell. If you doubt me, just look at some Hollywood marriages from the past, or take a look around the airport or the mall at the couples. Olivia Newton John and Celine Dion come to mind. I've seen some amazingly average-looking guys with knockout wives and girlfriends. It is a revelation.
